Future Fuel

In future there must be shortage for fuels.how we have to find some other alternative methods to solve it.Recently i read an interesting article about future fuel by Prof. Joel Schor. US department of Agriculture. I would like to share with readers

According to the Volkswagen Corporation, automobile fuels by the year 2000 are likely to consist of gasoline, methanol from coal, diesel oil, and liquefied petroleum gas, with only a small percentage of ethanol derived from biomass. “Gasohol,” used widely during the energy crisis of the 1970s in the United States, is a blend of 10 percent ethanol with 90 percent gasoline. The alcohol production process involves three steps: reduction of the material to water-soluble sugars, fermentation to produce alcohol, and distillation by boiling to separate the alcohol from the water.

10 tips for good night’s sleep

1) Stick to a schedule:

Erratic bedtimes do not allow for your body to align to the proper circadian rhythms. Mum was right when she set a time we always had to go to sleep as kids. Also, make sure you try to keep the same schedule on weekends too, otherwise the next morning, you’d wake later and feel overly tired.

2) Sleep only at night:

Avoid daytime sleep if possible. Daytime naps steal hours from nighttime slumber. Limit daytime sleep to 20-minute, power naps.

Who is your competitor?

Who sells the largest number of cameras in India?

Your guess is likely to be Sony, Canon or Nikon. Answer is none of the above. The winner is Nokia whose main line of business in India is not cameras but cell phones.

Reason being cameras bundled with cellphones are outselling stand alone cameras. Now, what prevents the cellphone from replacing the camera outright? Nothing at all. One can only hope the Sonys and Canons are taking note.

Try this. Who is the biggest in music business in India? You think it is HMV Sa-Re-Ga-Ma? Sorry. The answer is Airtel. By selling caller tunes (that play for 30 seconds) Airtel makes more than what music companies make by selling music albums (that run for hours).

Make Your Actions Reflect Your Words – The Girl Who Silenced The World For 5 Minutes

This video needs no explanation. The message is clear and concise and from the heart of a child. The interesting thing was that she wasn’t saying anything any of us wouldn’t think about. It’s just that we don’t say them outloud. We tent to go about daily lives almost in resignation on matters that seems too complicated to deal with. I find the most powerful of all messages are ones that convey the most fundamental.

Each of us has to take responsibility for the condition of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. Once responsibility is assumed by everyone, we will realize what we are doing and finally make that change. But it all has to start with each of us as individuals.
